Frankenweenie (2012)

Fantastic Fest 2012

Screening #1:

Frankenweenie
This is Tim Burton all the way.
This whole thing reminds me of bit of Beetlejuice,
Edward Scissorhands, and Nightmare Before Christmas.
I enjoyed it.
I remember the short he did in the beginning of his career.
This does justice.
There's a lot of classic monster movie references (even Godzilla).
It was dark and little bit funny.
The electricity scenes were awesome in 3-D.
Good movie to see, especially if you're a Tim Burton fan.
This is the opening film for Fantastic Fest 2012.
Very awesome way to start the festival.
Even Burton himself is here in Austin for the World Premiere of his latest.
Can't wait to add this to the director shelf.

The Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar remodeled their building
just for the World Premiere of Frankenweenie:
