Fantastic Fest: Redeemer (2014)

 Fantastic Fest 2014
Screening #15

The Chilean director and the best martial artist actor in South America are both back for their 5th movie.  I love Mirageman.  Love Mandrill and Kiltro.  Enjoyed Bring Me The Head of Machine Gun Woman.  And now another cheesy Chilean action flick, Redeemer.  Probably my least favorite out of the five but still fun.  The fight sequences keep getting better and better.  Story was so and so.  But, we don't come for the story as much, it is for Marko Zaror's awesome stunts and fight scenes.  Here, he plays a vengeful character who leaves everything to God.  He tells his enemies to repent before he kills them. So faith plays an important part in this movie.  Wasn't feeling the other characters in this movie.  I would recommend this to fans of the other Marko Zaror movies.  If you're not familiar, I would start with Mirageman.  A low budget vigilante movie with heart.
Marko Zaror and me holding a Chilean energy drink they were passing out.
