City Island
Man awesome dysfunctional family comedy.
All it was missing was the Wes Anderson touch.
But, the story played out good.
Each family member has his or her own secret
and little by little all hell breaks loose only
to get resolved nicely at the end.
Kudos for the writing.
My favorite part: Vince (Andy Garcia) tells
Tony to keep quiet and don't say any of the things they
talked about to Vince's wife, and then, under pressure,
Vince spills out the truth himself. This was near the beginning
and had nothing to do with the bigger secret which is
Vince wanting to be an actor.
He auditions for a Martin Scorsese picture.
Good vibes from this movie.
Clever independent movie worth checking out.
