Rango
Pretty cool for my first 2011 movie to see this year.
If the Coen Brothers would of made an animation,
it would feel something like this.
In other words, True Grit, should of felt more like this.
If you're a fan of westerns, this is a must see.
This is an animated tribute to westerns.
Typical plot. Typical music.
I'm sure there's lots of references in here.
The two obvious references for me were,
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (the freeway scene),
and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
(the man with no name appears towards the end
to give our hero some guidance).
All in all, it was a fun ride.
Favorite scene, where Rango accidentally defeats the hawk.
Even though, it's considered a kids movie,
I think it was aimed more for adults.
Lot of grown ups in the theatre were more entertained
than the kids.
