I did a Roger Corman double feature today for my Fantastic Fest 2010 Marathon to lead up to this year's Fantastic Fest. Roger Corman was here in 2010 to screen this classic film along with the premiere of his latest project, Sharktopus. So I did both of those tonight. The Man with the X-Ray Eyes was pretty cool. I kind of loved everything except for the ending. The ending didn't make too much sense. I love that early on, our main character, the doctor, was able to see through people's clothes. We never saw them fully naked. The shots were made to look like they were naked but there is no full on nudity. Still, the silliness in those scenes were pretty cool. Little by little, our doctor's eyes got even more crazier. Enjoyed the grindhouse feel out of this.
Good to check out if you're in the mood for a classic campy thriller. Almost like Hitchcock feel to it.
