FANTASTIC FEST 2012
Screening #3:
Here Comes The Devil
This is the latest horror from Argentinean Director
who brought the movie "Penumbra" last year at Fantastic Fest.
He is now based in Mexico and this is his first Mexican film.
It's a demon possession movie.
It has the grindhouse vibe all over it.
I mean, right away it starts out with two lesbians having sex
and then a murder scene.
It was okay movie to see at midnight.
It was crazy and annoying at the same time.
I love the exaggerated horror sounds they put on here.
The main actor (Francisco) was good.
He's the one from "We Are What We Are."
My favorite scene here is the murder scene where the parents
kill the "pedophile."
It's not a spoiler.
This happens halfway through.
Once the demon possession starts doing some action in
the second half, it gets good.
The last part of the movie was okay.
There's no trailer to this movie yet
but here is the Fantastic Fest page:
Here Comes The Devil @ Fantastic Fest
This film just got bought by a distribution company a few minutes
before the screening.
In celebration, Tim League (Owner of Alamo Drafthouse and Creator
of Fantastic Fest) came out and gave everyone in the audience
a glass of champagne and had the director of the film slice
the bottle with a sword.
