My Thanksgiving movie programming this year was a marathon of boxing dramas. I'm not a big sports guy but for some reason I like boxing movies. Creed was pretty fucking amazing. Just a few flaws. Tonight, I did Raging Bull and Resurrecting the Champ and I saw Southpaw for the first time. I heard a lot of mixed shit about this. To me, this was good. Yeah, it's nothing new or fresh but I thought it was great entertainment. It was emotional too. Maybe because I'm a father myself. This did it for me. Not a top 10 contender but it was better than I expected.
7 out of 10.
