Finally, those cute yellow creatures have their own freaking movie. It's a prequel to Despicable Me. As a prequel, it was alright. They made the minions such a big deal around the world here that it takes away their mysterious magic from Despicable Me. Oh well. As a stand alone movie, it was as fun as other big summer animated movies. Nothing above and beyond but good entertainment. This gets points for taking place in the 60's. My favorite era. Awesome music. Good 60's references. Short and sweet and good times for the kids.
