Got to experience this very strange movie at Weird Wednesday (go figure). Death laid an egg, ladies and gentleman. Also known as Plucked. This was a crazy experience. It was a bit irritating especially the crazy sounds. It's grindhouse all the way. It's got a bad English dub. The whole thing was scratchy and the color was all yellow. What else can I ask for a midnight movie at the Alamo Drafthouse? It's got a straight up story with a twist. It's an artsy movie. Basically, it's about this one guy who owns a chicken slaughterhouse with his wife. He has a secret. Every once in a while, he reserves the same hotel room and kills a prostitute. There's a twist in that. Anyways, the plot gets interesting when the main guy's wife's cousin meets this other guy and together they plan a scheme to take over the chicken factory. So many chickens in this movie. I had to order some chicken strips and queso to go along with this movie. There's only one nudity scene (darn). The soundtrack was trippy.
Overall, I liked it but probably won't see it again and I wouldn't recommend this to just any fan of exploitation cinema. I guess the theatre experience makes it better. I'm going to try to make it to at least one Weird Wednesday a month and see more rare goodies for only 3 bucks. Damn, I love living in Austin, TX.
